Product Details: The basis of the A-BUS system is simple. Instead of running speaker wire all over the house and a separate Cat 5 run for control, send everything over Cat 5. Power for the speakers is developed locally in the room with a Decora sized amplifier that conveniently hides as a wall-plate volume control. The AB-114 amplified keypad is a volume control, amplifier, and IR receiver all in one. The AB-114 can be mounted in a single gang cut-in ring or deep J-box (if required by code). It is compatible with Decora wall plates. Blue LEDs show volume level and the keypad completely mutes when bottom LED is off.
