The main unit performs most of the tests like determining the LAN device type and the LAN speed without the need of the remote probe. The remote probe adds the ability to trace cable locations and test cables with all four pairs to ensure compatibility with all three types of Base-T LANs. Tests and locates miswired cables, missing cables, cables that cannot support 100Base-T operation. Tests connection to hub, PC, installed cables, and patch cables. Locate and trace inactive cables, trace active cables connected to hubs and PC without interfering LAN performance. Includes: Main unit; Remote probe; Batteries; RJ45 jumper, manual and pouch.
